Once in a while, we host an event featuring one new or lesser known map that we think is particularly promising, to introduce the community to them, and invite them to sign up for a championship on that map. If it is popular enough among teams, we will activate the championship at a later point.

Meet the Map events will go something like this:

• First, our livestreamers go through the map to explain it. If we have the mapmaker(s) available, we'd love to get a tour from them. 
• As the main course of the event, we will have a match between two teams that have had a good look at the map, or even been practicing. No blind matches!
• After the match and the usual post-game chatter, we will spend a few minutes gathering opinions about the map from everyone involved, as well as the viewers. If we have the mapmaker(s) available, we'd love to hear their comments, and have their replies to any questions that might be raised.

Importantly, Meet the Map events will not be simple advertisements. We will encourage (polite) critique, so possible weaknesses can be identified and discussed.

All Meet the Map events will be announced on our subreddit in good time.

We will provide an overview of all maps we have had suggested, and a way for new maps to be submitted to our review. Please be patient :)
